March TBR

So many great books on my March TBR.  I read 4 of the 6 books on my February TBR, so I’m moving the other 2 to my March List. I’ve also got a couple of exciting debuts and a conclusion to one of my new favorite series.

So without further ado, here are the 6 books I plan to read in February:

Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter (from February TBR)
Caliban’s War by James S. A. Corey (from February TBR)
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza
A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab
Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire

Every Heart A Doorway is actually on the short list for the BookTube SFF Awards in the short fiction category. One of my goals over the next few months is to read all the nominees so that I can vote in June. You can find out more about the BookTube SFF Awards here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/163712-booktubesff-awards

I also have two books on pre-order that are being released in March that I’m really excited to read:

Giant Days, Vol 4 by John Allison, Max Sarin, + Liz Fleming (March 14, 2017)
Hunted by Meagan Spooner (March 14, 2017)

What great books are on your list for this month?

  1. Happy reading to you this month! 🙂
Yay for the Giant Days pre-order. I’m gonna have to get volume 2 of it soon. You got me hooked! lol
My main goal this month is to write so it probably won’t leave me as much time to read as I would like but I at least aim to finish an old book club book I never finished and at least two volumes of some of the comics I have on my shelves. I’d also like to read the second half of Pierce Brown’s Golden Son too if I can squeeze it in.

  2. I am excited to read The Hate U Give as well. I’m trying to chip away at ARCs this month, as I fell embarrassingly behind because I started reading the Throne of Glass Series and neglected everything else, lol.

  3. I really, really hope to finish the Shades Of Magic trilogy this month and also, read The Hate U Give! That is definitely the one book I am currently really excited to get to! I just have to wait for my order to finally arrive! 🙂

Happy reading month to you and let’s hope you can read all the books you want to read this month! 🙂

  4. I’ve read Caliban’s war, and most of the series by James Corey. I got interested in the series after I saw commercials for the show on the SyFy channel. If you like space opera and battles, def a good series. I’m enjoying it. Think he just came out with a new one too that I need to check out.

  5. I’m iffy on The Hate You Give. It seems to have been so hyped up. It’s so hard to tell if the book is good or the publisher is just good a promotion. I’m waiting to see some more reviews before I jump on the train lol

    1. I totally get being hesitant when a book is really hyped up – because sometimes if falls far short *cough* Caraval *cough* But, I have heard great things about THUG already, and since its an own voices work focusing on such an important and timely topic – I new I had to pick it up.

Hopefully, it keeps getting glowing reviews and you’re able to read it soon!

  6. I don’t generally make a TBR list for myself each month, I used to but it made me enjoy reading less, but I’ll include the books I have to read for my real life book club and my GR group: Fellside by M.R. Carey and Nevernight by Jay Kristoff.

    1. I totally get that. I didn’t make them for a long time because it felt too much like school work. But, I started only putting 6 things on it – and since I usually read 12ish things each month, it leaves me with plenty of space to pick up other things that interest me.

Plus, I don’t get down on myself if I don’t end up reading everything on my list.

I have been hearing pretty mixed things about Nevernight – but the premise sounds super interesting. I hope you’ll post a review when you finish it! 🙂

      1. I originally thought it was going to be – but according to Goodreads its going to at least be a duology. But, there may end up being more.

I love series because you get to spend so much time getting to know the characters. But, I wish there were more YA standalones out there that aren’t contemporaries. Ya know?
